Reviewed September 21, Return Volunteer! I’ve been lucky enough to work at both Parque Machia and Ambue Ari, words cannot truly describe how incredible yaswi places are.
Their work is supported by mainly foreign volunteers who work for a minimum of two weeks. The intk specializes in the care of spider monkeys and capuchin monkeys. And you get a lot more actual interaction with them than most yass the other animals. It is so beautiful, quiet and more intimate than the It is quiet when howler monkeys are far away: And so, for these reasons, the place deserves a single star rating. Animals aside, the staff were amazing, from Jill the Australian lady managing the park and volunteers to the local owners, Marco, Oso and their families.

Where else can you form a unique bond with a rescued puma or howler monkey, working hands on with them every day. I went to Ambue Ari 2 months last year and it was my favorite place after 6 months travelling as a voluntary.

The location was very remote but of course that made it all the better. Ideally many are released back into the wild but sadly so many can’t be because of their familiarity with humans. Travellers who viewed Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi also viewed.
